This pattern marks the genesis of my cactus designs, dating back to 2018! Over the years, I've delighted numerous little ones and desert loving moms with these blankets. It shares similarities with other giant cactus blankets published in recent years, though it boasts its unique flair, making it stand out. That is precisely why I'm excited to offer it for free. It's also a great opportunity to experience first hand what to expect when purchasing one of my other patterns!

**This is an EASY level pattern but knowledge of C2C/Diagonal Box Stitch is required. If you are unfamiliar with C2C or need a brush up, links to some of my favorite tutorials are included in the PDF**

MATERIALS:

Hook: 5.00 mm (US size H-8)

Gauge: (4" x 4") 6 Blocks x 6 blocks in double crochet

Size: 44 x 50 Bocks = 30" x 34" w/o border  

(Your size may vary depending on your yarn choice, hook size and personal gauge.)

Yarn: Weight 4 (Worsted) – 1105 yds (530 gms) w/o border

Knit Picks Mighty Stitch (80% Acrylic, 20% Superwash Wool), 208 yds (100 gms)

Colors:

MC (Oyster): 605 yds (291 gms)
CAC (Macaw): 385 yds (185 gms)
FP (White): 6 yds (3 gms) OR small amount of scrap yarn
FC (Sunflower): 2 yds (2 gms) OR small amount of scrap yarn

Optional Border (5 rounds of sc): 136 yds (65 gms)

You can also always leave off the flowers completely :)
